Guest guest
Joyce, That's what my guess would be - nerves. I'm sure I would be, excited and scared, and excited and happy, and excited and well, just nervous and excited!!! We are here for you, we understand. You'll do fine, you'll dance with Dr. R, and then, it's only going to get better. My best to you, PhillyJude

If you don't have some nerves about changing your entire approachto life then you don't understand what you are doing..... Just my 2 cents - Hang in there and keep busy. Guest guest
Dear Joyce, It is perfectly normal to be afraid of surgery. I know I was. In fact, I almost backed out just before they took me to the operating room. I am so afraid of anesthesia, although I have never had a problem with it. The anesthetist was so good! My veins are hard to get, but he had no problem, and I honestly felt no pain! I awoke from the anesthesia without that groggy feeling, too. I really don't believe that you could be in any better hands. Don't worry. You will be amazed at how well you will feel. My surgery was Aug. 10, 2000, and as of last Monday, I have lost 35 pounds, and my blood sugar is nearly normal - with no meds. Good luck. Sherry (in Cary, NC). Call me if you would like to. My number is .
Guest guest
Dear Joyce, If you didn't have some feelings of apprehension you wouldn't be normal. I'll tell you what that feeling is in the bottom of your stomach that driving you nuts - IT'S HOPE!! We don't recognize the feeling because, before finding Dr. R., we had never experienced the feeling before. I love your theme song recommendation.
