i just bought some meyenberg goat butter and my husband cooked us

some eggs in it. my daughter's been itching unusually strong today

and i found out the butter contains goat cream, salt, and " natural

flavors " . has anyone called to check this company? i'm kind of

annoyed. guess i'll pick another brand next time.

The words " Natural Flavors " should always raise red flags. They are illegal.

Silvia,

Since you have referenced quite a few things that are making your daughter

" itch " , I am just wondering if it might be a manifestation of die-off for

her.... since she is really fairly new to the diet at only 5 weeks in. I

imagine that if she has a really damaged, leaky gut.... she will react a bit to

a great many things. I would expect that to improve over time.

Have you thought of using coconut oil as a substitute for butter? It's got

natural anti-fungal qualities and is great to bake with, since it is about the

same consistancy as butter at room temp. It stands up very well to heat and

does not go rancid.

yes, she is reactive to many things right now. i think it is just a

symptom of her leaky gut.

coconut used to be a big part of our life but i cut it out with so

many other things. i tried reintroducing homemade coconut milk early

in the diet and it didn't go well. i'm building up the courage to try

again. thanks for the tip. perhaps i should make that the next thing

i bring in, since it does have that antifungal quality.

thanks a lot, patti.
