Elaine said if the zucchini is small than you don't need to worry about

the small immature seeds (if cooked).

The pickling is not the same as cooking the squash. What you may be

able to do is if he isn't able to tolerate it pickled, after the

pickling you could steam it. It will be cooked but have the pickling

flavour.
