Even though I dont have a sphinter any more I still have problems

with the tight jeans, and they are not that tight compared to some I

see; but its just the pressure on the wasteline and yes bras too. I

have found that the bras that fasten in the front dont seem to

bother as much as some and sports bras are good too but they pull on

my shoulders too much. I can drink cold beverages now without a

prblem. I have found that those pants that zipper on the side are

more comfortable too. I found some really nice ones at Belks that

looked really really good on me, skinny pants..lol. So I bought

every color they had in my size!! But the bra is the first thing to

go when I walk in the door, at home not at Belks....lol

Ok I have a question for ya'll. Do you feel worse when a low

pressure weather system is moving into your area? I think I do. I

know I feel worse when I am premenstral, what about ya'll.

Incredulous ; geeze loweese I had to look that one

up. " The doctor looked incredulous " You should be writing romance

novels.....love it!!

Hi Chrissy,

I saw your questions, so I have to add my two cents worth...

(probably not even worth that much!)

Tight jeans are a problem for me, but since I have lost 40 pounds in

the last couple of months, I don't own a pair of tight jeans

anymore. My bra is always uncomfortable, but I have the hardest time

finding bras without the underwire, which is what I prefer to wear

when I am having a flare but must go on with my life. Do you other

women have problems finding bras without the underwires, that do give

support?

Really ice cold water hurts me, but usually like the ice cream

headache that goes away after a few seconds...but there have been

times that I end up with a flare because of it.

When there is a storm moving in over the mountains, probably a low

front, I feel rotten. I didn't use to feel like this, and it isn't

my bones that hurt, just my pancreas and just a general ill feeling

when the weather changes. I kind of thought that the cold, cloudy

weather made me more depressed so it exagerated my pain...which may

play a part, but I think weather changes do actually affect how I

feel.

Oh, and the PMS...girl, don't get me started! I yelled and screamed

and swore for nearly 4 years that the pancreas pain didn't have

ANYTHING to do with my cycle. Well, I am realizing that it has more

to do with my cycle than I was willing to admit. I just got out of

the hospital last week cuz I was given estrogen to stop the

bleeding. WRONG thing to take, as it flared my pancreas BIG time! I

went in for pain control, but ended up with a D & C and an endo

ablasion to stop the bleeding(btw, the estrogen ended up making my

bleeding worse). My OB/GYN didn't realize that estrogen would affect

my pancreas.(and I failed to look it up on the list of meds to NOT

take with pancreatitis) My family physician and I both think that I

have endometriosis growing on my pancreas, so estrogen did the double

whammy, shouldn't have taken it because I have endo and because it

causes problems with my pancreatitis. And so...red faced and

embarrassed, I am admitting that I think that to some extent, my

flares can be related to my cycle about 50%+ of the time. Did it

cause my chronic pancreatitis? I don't know, but I wouldn't be

surprised (or even agrue at this point) if my pancreas doctor said it

contributed to it.

That is my two cents worth. Although I feel so bad that others hurt

like I do, it is so helpful to read that others have the same

problems that I do...makes me feel a little better. I ask my doctors

about questions like these, and I too get the incredulous looks from

them. I quit asking, besides I don't get anywhere, except one more

chicken scratch mark toward sending me to the looney bin! :-)

Have a great evening!

Hugs,

Suzi
