Guest guest
Oh, wow, that sounds so painful, poor baby. It sounds as you are very busy! I was reading your post and I was thinking, Australia, 30- 40 degrees, is summer overthere how can that be, then I realized you use the metric system, duh! celsius was not read by my small brain, either, :-S. Well, at least toward the end of the pregnancy it should cool off some. I hope everything is alot easier from here on. > I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish everyone the best > Health for the New Year. > has been in and out of Hopital all Christmas and the New Yea. > Turns out he was getting constipated often. Guest guest
Hi Lee, I don't think I have ever responded to any of your posts but I just wanted to let you know that our boys are only 1 day apart. Cheryl, mom to 3 boys, Zac 7 almost 8 wocf, Jake 3 yrs. wocf, 2 almost wcf Hi Eveyone, Its been a while I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish everyone the best Health for the New Year. has been in and out of Hopital all Christmas and the New Yea. Turns out he was getting constipated often. Still trying to get my head around that, cos he never stopped Poopin! Well once or twice a day. His XRay showed he was blocked all the way up to his duodenum. After 8 suppositories it all came away and boy did it stink! Since his discharge he has been so much better in himself, he was always a happy kid and full of beans, but when he was sick he slowed down and was very cuddly, which was hard, I'm getting fatter everyday and its been 30-40o celcius for weeks on end. His appetite had improved out of sight and he is aying alot more words. He will be two on Feb 3, I cant believe it. I was hoping to get him to 10kg for his birhtday, but he dropped 800g in hospital so I'm that much further behind now. My Paed was on holidays and I saw th only other in town who is Chinese/Portugese, very interesting Man I live seeing him. he has put on Medium Chain Triglyceride Oil, 10ml 4 X day top start adn now 25ml 4 X a day. because the oil is an MCT it is easier absorbed and he doesnt need to take pancrease with it. I am over the 'great, thanks, where was this stuff 12-18 months ago when I really needed it' I am so happy he is putting on 120g a week at the moment. He does look skinny though. I wont let him run round inthe nud when people are here. All his little friends who are up to 9 months younger than him are taller and obviously way fatter than him now. Its embarrassing! One good thing that has come out of this, is Craig got a rocket up his bum and I believe now he really knows what has and from having time off work he has seen everything I do. He tried to help so much the first few days, by just doing everything but he was getting my times mucked up so I said just follow the day before in the diary, but offer him different things to eat. We are doing something to him every hour ont he hour at the moment. Keeping a diary sure helps but he best way to keep track is for me to set reminders on my mobile phone, just in case time slips me by. That way I dont run behind with his meds and dont forget. We opted out of CVS and amnio and will find out when this baby is born due June 18! Dr says he will almost definately come 4 or more weeks early because was 10 weeks prem. So I'm in the middle of setting up his room, off to buy a chest of drawers today! I have the basssinette out and covered. all the linen in vaccuum bags unde the bed. And I've sewn a new doona voer and valance and made new pelmets in the 'Nursery " Craigs sister in law is giving me a nappy change table whichIve never had. Guest guest
Dear Lee, It sounds as if you have a had a very busy christmas. Poor little but I suppose it is better out than in. It has been unbelievable hot here too. The other day it registered 42.5C on the temperature guage! I'm off to take Jack to the pool - He's just turned one on the 3rd Jan. And I am due with my 2nd about the same time as you. I have to have a C-section becuase of my diabetes and blood pressure problems so I'll probably be early to. I had Jack at 36 weeks. We'll be waiting to see if the baby has CF too. I hope not. Good luck with everything Fiona > >Reply-To: cfparents >To: cfparents >Subject: Hi Eveyone, Its been a while >Date: Mon, 12 Jan 2004 02:45:07 -0000 > >I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish everyone the best >Health for the New Year. > has been in and out of Hopital all Christmas and the New Yea. >Turns out he was getting constipated often. Guest guest
Wow Lee, It sounds like has been through a lot. I am glad he is feeling better now though! Maybe some of the weight he lost while in the hospital was just the poop! It's great that he is gaining again though. It's good that your hubby is getting more involved, especially with another baby on the way. I am very lucky that my hubby has been involved from the start but we are not having to do so much to anymore because she has been well lately. Glad to hear from you again. Guest guest
Hi Lee, I am glad to hear is feeling better. Zach is 10.54 kg and will be two on 2/8. He was born 9 weeks premature. I know what you mean about being embarrassed about seeing him naked in front of others. His cousins are younger than him and have fat rolls and Zach has his rows of ribs to show off. Also his umbilical hernia always is a topic of conversation. How did you find out was blocked? Zach's appetite has really stalled. I give him Benefiber to keep things moving but I wonder if it is not enough. He has started coughing and is taking long naps again. Did they do a regular x-ray or did they have to do a lower gi? Zach has his first bronch on the 21st and I wonder if they could just do the x-ray on the same day? Congrats on the pregnancy. I wish I could invite you and Cheryl and your boys over for a big two year old birthday bash. I think we would have a lot of fun!
