Making Goat Yogurt

Hi

I started my goat yogurt last night at 9:30pm. I set it in the oven at that

time after following the instruction on the pecanbread website. I have made

cow's milk yogurt according to Elaine's instructions in BTVC. Anyway, the goat

yogurt is different than the cow yogurt in texture according to my limited or

rather zero experience. At this point with the cow yogurt it was more cottage

cheese looking. The goat yogurt at this point is very smooth looking. The

liquid that forms from the bacteria eating the lactose is there around the edges

just like before. I guess I am concerned that my little friends may not be

doing there job of consuming all of the lactose. Please share your experience

with me concerning this. I would hate to give my son substandard SCD yogurt.

Thanks

Goat yogurt will be thinner. Cow yogurt should not be lumpy like cottage cheese.

Goat

Yogurt is the one most recommended for the ASD children. Please review the

yogurt page.

Make sure you have the right tetemperatures and times as instructed and chill

well until

set.

I have used both partially skimmed goat's milk and full fat goat's milk and both

make a

nice yogurt.
