Thanks Carol, your suggestion encourages me. Anya had the usual

3-month and 6-month flares which took her back to intro diet and

carefully reintroducing veggies. Her last flare was in November so to

this date she has not had seeds or peels not even of her zucchini but

she eats pear, apple, tangerine, peach, of course banana, avocado,

zucchini, eggplant, green beans, she even had white beans boiled

several hours and then cooked in the oven two more hours, tomatoes,

carrots, squash, legal cheeses, all kinds of meats, almond butter and

we were thinking of introducing now peanut butter.

Her bms are regular and well formed except when she went swimming to

the municipal pool.

Before giving her strawberries I will try small zucchini seeds. My

regards to you.

<<A lot of the suggestions were fruit-based. I thought we were

supposed to limit fruit intake since it contained so much natural

sugar. >>

It is not part of SCD protocol to limit fruit intake. Some families have chosen

to do that (and to limit honey) in the beginning, if they are battling yeast.

But, for most, the addition of some natural antifungals and/or yeast control

enzymes such as Candidase are very helpful. We caution parents against doing SCD

without fruit and with only the low-carb veggies. The kids NEED carbohydrates.

I saw a young man get into trouble recently, eating a great quantity of meat and

just about nothing else on SCD.... he ended up in ketosis.
