Beth is a former patient of Dr. Rutledge's. did not write this post, it

came from Beth. Beth has been disappointed in Dr. Rutledge and in her surgical

result. You can't make everyone happy in every instance and this is an example

of someone who is not happy. It happens.

Dr. Rutledge has nearly 1,000 post-op patients and probably as many pre-ops. It

would be unusual to say the least if every patient pre and post op were happy.

Beth's experience and mine have been diabolically opposite. I was treated kindly

and courteously. I read the instructions on the clos.net site; I followed the

instructions to have the surgery and what the web site said would happen did

happen. I don't know how your doctor's office is but when I call to get an

appointment, I don't get one for weeks. The staff does not act like they are

happy that I've called, and I have gotten conflicting information from them

before too. I've been treated wonderfully and I've been treated down right

snotty.

Beth certainly has a right to her feelings. She perceives she was treated badly.

I wasn't there. I didn't see or hear what happened or has taken place. I can

simply go by what the vast majority of Dr. R's patients say and by what my own

experience has been.

I have a feeling there is a Dr. Rutledge and his staff side of the story which

as someone else pointed out, he cannot discuss due to confidentiality.

Perception is a major player here. I was a newspaper reporter for 14 years many

years ago (ok, I'm old, I know that and you know that). There was another

newpaper in town. When our story came out and then I read the story of the same

event in the other paper, it made me wonder if the other reporter and I were

covering the same event. This is just someone's perception of how they were

treated.

Let's not minimize that Beth feels this way. We all are entitled to have

feelings. Feelings are not right or wrong. They're just feelings. The

overwhelming majority of Dr. Rutledges patients are happy. That speaks volumes.
