Oh . So happy for you. So looking forward to your posts when you feel

better. Trude and I sent our packets in today, hoping for early November,

which is 2 weeks away! Wish us luck, stay well, and write when you can.

We've missed your voice. PhillyJude

Hi everyone,

Missed you all, although I tried to read mail at least once since

surgery. I got home today from Durham and am sooooo happy to be back.

I had a rough day yesterday with depression, all emotional, etc. but

I'm fine now and feeling much better physically too.

At clinic this morning before we drove back to Atlanta, Dr. R

reminded all of us that we are not the same people we were before

surgery. Our body is different. Our lives will be different and we

need to remember that. I had to laugh when (another post-op)

said he felt like there were rocks in his gut because I have the same

feeling. Dr. R replied " Gee, I can't imagine why....except that

someone was stabbing and stapling you inside four days ago! "

The great part about Dr. R's procedure is that you come through it so

much easier than open surgery. But that makes you forget that there

was still someone doing things to your insides and it is still major

surgery and you need to be patient and give your body time to heal.

Anyway, more good news is that I have lost 10 lbs (on my home scale)

in 6 days so I'm on my way.
