,

When you make a lot of changes at once, it's impossible to know what's up.

One thing I will say is that introducing yogurt can trigger additional die-off.

The greenish, sticky poo *could* be a result of that. If it's die-off, it will

be temporary.

In terms of everything else you've introduced, I can only suggest you go back to

where you were before you started them all..... then introduce ONE new thing at

a time, with several days in between.

Keep a food log and try not to make too many changes at once.

Stool Questions, Again

Hello All,

Benito, my son, is doing well in terms of behavior except for his opinionated

personality which I'm afraid nothing will help. Anyway, starting on Sunday at

4pm he has had greenish sticky unformed poop. Monday greenish sticky unformed

poop 4 times. Today only once.

On Friday morning I began goat yogurt that is dripped. 1/8th tsp. Saturday the

same. On Sunday I upped him to 1/4 tsp. Monday and Today the same.

On Sunday I gave him legal Welch's 100% grapejuice, purple, yesterday and

today. About 4 oz per day. This is the first juice he has had other than my

homemade pear juice (steamed pear dripping in pot with the holes in it and 1inch

of water in bottom pot) in 3 months.

On Monday I started him on No Fenol about 2 capsules a day.

Saturday evening I made him chicken tots and without thinking until today, I

realized I had put raw chopped garlic in it and fried them in grapeseed oil. So

deep fried and garlic. Also, we had grilled baby back pork ribs-no barbq

sauce....just salt and a little pepper.

Everything else I have been feeding him has been ok'd by everybody. Pear

Sauce, buffalo ground meat, baked chicken, butternut squash, ripe bananas, eggs.

Can anyone see what I might be doing wrong, if anything. Perhaps it is die off

or just new to SCD. I don't know. He feels fine by the way.

Thank you,

Hinojosa

Good morning, ,

Dripping yogurt concentrates it by %0%.

Did you dilute the grape juice 50-50 with water?

I am not good with supplement advice, sorry.

Deep fried food is not so easily digested for some.

Pork ribs are fatty. I would have saved that for down the line athough I do see

you have

been SCD for three months. Pork sometimes gives me a tummy ache and diaharrea

but not

the leaner cuts or legal bacon. The culprit is usually spareibs. I think it

best to parboil

them and then bake them until they are almost overdone.

I see several changes taking place at once rather than one by one. On the other

hand we

always suspect die-off contributes to stool changes.

As to his personality, I remain opinionated after 76 years, with or without SCD.

LOL!

Thank you for all the help. I did not know that dripping yogurt concentrates

it. I dripped it hoping he would then tolerate it better. No, I did not dilute

the grapejuice the first day.

Carol, we have been on SCD just since Feb 14th of this year so it hasn't been 3

months. Only a few weeks. I will back up on the food and slow down again. I

am not sure how this happens....sometimes I just forget and introduce too much.

Thanks Again,

Steph,

It is true that dripping yogurt sometimes helps people tolerate it better. It

also improves the taste... makes it less tart. I'm inclined to think that 1/8th

of a teaspoon, even if it was dripped first, was just fine.

It's just that you started too many things all at once, so it's impossible to

know what was causing what.

Don't worry, you'll do just fine. It's not easy at first, but it will get

better. I promise. :)
