Hi everyone. I've just gotten in from NC, back in Philly, feeling fine.

Woke up this morning, took my temp, 96.6, said I'm goin' home. Wouldn't

advise leaving 3rd post-op day unless you had a son who is a surgery resident

at the best hospital in the state. But I do, so I felt it was ok. I take

full responsibility. My son is coming here tonight just to check me out, and

on Friday he'll remove those cute little staples!

It is an eerie feeling to have crossed over; somehow not yet real. I have

the staples, so I know I had the MGB, but now I just feel as though maybe I

had the flu. Guess I'll start to believe it when I see the scale moving

down. I hope to be a once a month weigher, and a once a month post-person,

and otherwise get on with my life. Of course, that does not include the

people who will ask me to be a contact for them. For that, I will always be

available. Nor does it include frequent connections, directly however, with

some of the folks here in this group that I have come to adore.

I came home to 337 emails. I deleted them all. No way I could begin to deal

with that! I guess soon I'll go to some other version of this site.

Anyway, to Trude, Sande B-R, Ruqayya, HI! Miss you guys, hope all of you

are well.

To those crossing over soon, Christy, Jon, Jil, and so many others, bless

your hearts! It's a very serious phase of action you are undertaking. It

changes, or will, just about everything. Already I have a sense of that. I

think it will take constant attention for a while, to stay on course and

hydrated, and protect your new little baby stomach. I think of mine as a

baby of mine, and I am loving it constantly, with juice, water and yogurt.

After all we've been through, all of us on this site, and after actually

having undergone the surgery, there is no way I am going to put anything into

my baby that will cause her harm. NO WAY!

And to those who constantly steadied the waters ofr me, and gave me thier

love and wisdom, a very heartfelt debt of gratitude. I would not be here

were it not for you!

I know I'll leave someone out if I mention their names, but Flo and Betty,

Genz and Amy Poe, and Big REd Gloria, thanks a million thanks.

Now, I'm going to take a nap. 7 hours in a car takes something out of you

when you've just had major surgery, I can say!!! Love to you all.

Hi Judy,

Welcome back home and I'm so glad everything is going so well. Take it

easy for a few days and keep us posted on how you are. Welcome to the " other "

side.

Love,

Genz
