I was hoping someone has had it done or is also considering and has

some advice for me. Thanks St. louis, MO

I saw your message and wanted to share our experience with the

TP/ICT. My son, Joey, was diagnosed with pancreatitis when he was

5. He had so many complications and was hospitalized sometimes for

well over 100 days a year. His pain was uncontrollable, and the

doctors really tried everything. The last 2 years before his

surgery, he was completely unable to eat (he lived on TPN) and was on

a Demerol pain pump which infused narcotics constantly and still he

had unbearable pain. 2 years and 5 months ago, at age 12, he had his

TP/ICT. It wasn't done in MN. He had it done at Boston Children's

Hospital which was our home away from home. I can't begin to tell

you what an enormous difference it has made in our lives. Joey has

doubled his weight and grown over 1 foot. He is completely free from

pain and is not diabetic. His sugars are normal. He is happy and

healthy and enjoying his freshman year in high school. We really

consider this a miracle. I know that not everyone has the same

outcome, but I just wanted to share with you, our experience. If you

want any more details, feel free to ask. If you would like, you can

email me personally.
