Guest guest
Hi Margaret, Thanks for asking. Things have kind of leveled off. I still take my Ultram at night, but take about half of what I used to and it works better than it used to, but it is not gone. I am still sleeping better on average. Before surgery my pain level would soar with pms and my period. Not sure why, but I guess the hormones mess my with sugar levels. Well, I am having my first cycle since surgery and the same pattarn is there my Fasting bs went back to the 150's with no change in diet and the nighttime pain got more resistant. Hopefully it will go back to the downward trend when this is over. So I am not cured, but I am not on meds and in tighter control tha I have ever been. My doc said that a month or more in the 150s or above and he would consider adding a low dose of something again. But I don't think that will happen. My feet and hands have not swelled since surgery. I didn't have terrible calf cramps with my PMS this time and I have had noticeably less headaches. My energy is starting to really change. I am getting motivated for projects and out and about more. I am no longer afraid that i will be physically miserable when I am out. What a blessing! I am down 47 lbs, but like someone else ( not sure which list) said, it isn't coming off my waist very fast at all. My upper body and legs are visually smaller, but my waist and hips aren't budgung yet!! They can't hold it forever! I will not weigh again until this week is over. Maybe not until after Thanksgiving.
