Guest guest
I just received an email from an individual who claims to have emailed everyone else on the Pecanbread list complaining that one of our moderators blocked her post about a particular intervention she wished to discuss. I don't wish to become further embroiled in her complaint but am on record that I object to her back channeling our entire membership and crtiicizing one of our fine volunteers.. We need to support the hard work and thoughtful decisions made by our informed, dedicated and hard working moderators. Being totally unfamiliar with the intervention she praised, I am still of the opinion this person violated the spiirit and guidelines of this group in her approach and personal criticsm of my associate and friend who gives and gives to this list. Guest guest
Did you want our opinions? I was just wondering why someone's emails would be moderated and then an email against her come up without others knowing fully of what's up. I'm not surprised either way. Was she warned ahead of time or after her first email or did she just get moderated? The woman just sent an email to me last night saying that she wanted to get all the options out on the table to help others learn what else might work. Many of us have lived our lives taking care of our children with no help or hope. I know some moms who have struggled for over 30 yrs. with no options but, schooling. He still doesn't have speech. I don't want to be one of those moms who aren't educated enough to help my child. I don't want to know anyone else that don't have options either. So, you know what side of the fence I'm on. Maybe she can be redirected to an outreach program or maybe even her own website. The attitudes here are shallow. ONLY for SCD. That should be rule #1 in bold type so people can see it. So many things have changed in this group over the last yr. It's sad that the email I am relpying to had to be posted but, not hers. At least her post might've helped someone. Now, I will never know and neither will the rest of the pecanbread members. Smells fishy. Guest guest
I agree with Patti and Carol concerning this email. This site is about SCD and how to do this diet. If parents want to find other treatments or diets they can go to a more general group. I am not stupid and can do my own research. I post and read entries from this Pecanbread group to learn about SCD. If it wasn't that way I would have to go through many more posts to find the subject I was looking for. I know I will only find posts related to SCD. I am a simple person and like simple approaches. I feel this person invaded my privacy and space by bringing her complaints and " problems " into my home. I am blocking her address.
