Guest guest
Kari, You go for it. You'll do well. Will it be lap or open? There's not that much difference. Some, but still, on the ObesitySurgerySupport Group site, lots of folks with RNY are doing very well. You must do something, if not, you're going to get too sick. So, good doc, good case, good patient, good result. No sweat. Let us know as you go along. I am on the OSSG site, so I'll hear ya' wherever you post. Best of luck, Kari, you're going to be well and skinny next winter!!! PhillyJude

Guest guest
Kari, It's your body. It's your choice. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks but you. You have to live with your decision. I think you'll be pleased with the results regardless of the procedure you choose. > Hi everyone > It looks like i won't get to have the MGB after all. Guest guest
Dear Kari, This is not about Dr R or MGB it is about reclaiming our lives. Some of us have been fortunate enough to have the skilled hands and heart of Dr R, but he would be the first one to tell you that you do what you have to do where you have to do it and with whom you have to. Just reclaim your life. The support you WILL recieve here will come no matter what your decision. You say you are desperate to have a life, well you go get it girl. Good Luck and my prayers are with you. Gwen MGB 9/29 > Hi everyone > It looks like i won't get to have the MGB after all. I am going to > have to settle for the RNY done here in my hometown. Guest guest
Kari: RNY is ok. It's certainly widely done, widely accepted and many people do very well from it. I had my choice..so I chose MGB. Had I not been given the choice and only had RNY to choose from, I still would have done it provided I could get it laparascopically. Living with the extra weight is very difficult. Surgery alleviates many of the problems that come with it. You will be fine, you will do fine, and I think you should go for it! Guest guest
Hey Kari, Just because you won't be having the MGB doesn't mean you are no longer a part of this family. There are a few non MGBers on this list and everyone has something to contribute. I wish you the best and keep on posting!!!!!! Best Wishes, Genz Judyh1022@... wrote: > Kari, You go for it.
