Guest guest
Pat, Thanks so much for the update. We've been so concerned. I guess if needed meds for the depression, and maybe more, he would have the ability to seek it out, right? That's a fear of mine, that I'll slip down that slope and no one will know to help me. Cause I'm quite sure that I could have a weapon of my own destruction in my hand, hidden behind my back, and convince someone I was fine, if I wanted to. I'm scared of depression and have told my son and best friend, if you even think I am getting depressed, you two come bug the holy sh** out of me til I get angry and tell you the truth. They've promised. Anyway, if you say he's OK, then he's OK. Tell him we miss him and need his good humor the minute he's able! Guest guest
Pat: Tell my thoughts and prayers are with him. I'm sure we all go through the " loss of food " phase after the surgery. I was actually thinking about that at lunch today, but I know that I will get through it. Especially with all of you to support me and my family sticking behind me. Tell to hurry and come back to us so he can get the support from his second family. Christy California Pre-Op 11/8/

Guest guest
thanx Pat, I've been wondering about .. If you're out there reading this , don't shut off your emails, thats turning away from us, come closer, we are all here to help, especially the post-op's right now, that have been thru what you're experiencing.. I have a whole house full of people to keep my mind off food (I hope, anyway) and I can't imagine what its like not to have that kind of support when you're feeling blue. Wow, 16 lbs.. already!! Mr. Stud here you come!! Trudy/Indiana Update on Stern Hi everyone, called me today and he is back in Las Vegas. He is depressed over the loss of food. Trying to figure out where to stuff his feelings now that the food is gone. He says he is not really hungry but just misses the food. He tried to eat scrambled eggs and vomited but it may have been too soon for that. He also warned me how bad the carafate is and to make sure I bring a can of Lysol with me so as not to offend the person who is coming with me when it is my turn to dance. lol He did well with the surgery and has lost 16 pounds already in a little over one week. He says he is just in a funk and turned his emails off for a few days but is hoping to be back and sharing his experiences with everyone next week. Well I may not be able to do the dance until after the holidays but I sure am looking forward to doing it and meeting some of you fine people. Guest guest
-Pat, I had surgery the same week as and I really don't think the Carafate is too bad. I do however rinse my mouth thoroughly after I have swallowed it and then spit. It keeps down the metal aftertaste! on MGB 10/04/00 Preop 275 10/10/00 269 -- In MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com, " Pat Iurato " <iseeu25232@a...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > called me today and he is back in Las Vegas. Guest guest
If Lara was there I didn't see or meet her - last I heard she was still " fighting the good fight " to try to get within Dr. R's guidelines. Sorry. > > > Hi everyone, > > > called me today and he is back in Las Vegas. He is depressed > > > over the loss of food.
