Guest guest
Hello, my name is I was just found out that I had Pancreatic Divisum about a year ago after i was in the hospital for a month for pancreatitis it was my second admission for this, the first time they thought I was just a out to much drinking, but hey I'm 24 thats what i did on the weekends but until the second time in the hospital did they really realize that I had a problem I was NPO for that whole month and my bloodwork wasn't going down by the end of the month I had went through two picc lines and was on tpn, and I work in a hospital so to be that way was scaring me, then finally they decided to send me to New York a doctor over there he was a great guy and put a stent in my pacreas, it worked for about two months then my levels went up the highest they have ever been. So I wwent back to the same doctor and he did another stent, that one didn't work at all so he sent me to a surgeon by this time I had been in the hospital two more times cause the pain was so bad I couldn't take it anymore and because of working in a hospital they get real nervous so the rushed me to the ER, so i went to go see a surgeon he told there was nothing he could do for me he knew nothing about something like this, so finally I went to someone else in New York he is wonderful, he has set up for me to have another stent put in that will last 4 months but I am very nervous I am going in like three weeks, the doctor had told me the last time the duct is so hard to get a stent into he had so much trouble the last time. I am happy I had found this place on the internet my sister who has been the best through this all made me go on the internet and look up pancreatic divisum and find out what I had thats when I found everyone else's stories and it has helped me to understand and not make me feel like I am alo e with this anymore, so if anyone has any advice I am open to anything, my newest thing is pain management I had been on pain medicine but if I'm not its unbearable. thank you for listening
