Guest guest
Hey Folks, Well I understand some of you have wondered what happened to me after my surgery. This was a long process and by the time I got back home in Las Vegas after several days of staying in Durham I was just plain at the end of my mental rope. I came home and slept 14 hours the first day. I have been getting use to the new way I have to eat. Needless to say it has been a hard process to handle. trust me, if you try to push your new stomach to eat something that it is not ready for it will slap you across the face real fast and you will learn not to do that again. thus my two soft scrambled eggs that ended up in the sink straight from my stomach. Not pretty. I found out real fast not to eat anything right now with butter. Follow the rules and directions, Dr. R. put them there for your own good. But I guess I just had to see for my self. Amber Fuller was a godsend, she came through for me and Dawnica like a champ. She picked us up from the hotel and took us to the Center and stayed by our sides from start to finish. She picked us up the next day and brought us back to the hotel. I left my CPAP mask at the Center and she went all the way back there for me and got if for me. Thank you Amber for all your help. When I thought I was not going to have a reliable person stay with me you came through with flying colors. The last thing I needed the day before surgery was to worry if someone was going to really want to stay with me at the Center and you never made me feel I could not trust you and count on you 100%. When you made your offer you really meant it and you followed through to the end. And thank you to everyone who helped prior to my surgery I appreciate it. Dr. Rutledge his office staff and the Center personal were wonderful and so professional they all made this unusual experience easier to go through. Time to go. All my best, Las Vegas, NV postop selfpay 10/05 286 10/15
