Guest guest
When a doctor examines my abdomen I have to insist that they be very, very, very gentle over my pancreas. I have had a number of acute attacks caused by a doc's exam. I don't know how you tolerate even a gentle massage, but we're all different! Be careful with that ERCP. I end up in the hospital for a week every time I have one. In fact I cancelled my last one. I called the doc and told him that I wouldn't do it because I didn't want to spend another week in the hospital. He agreed and he hasn't asked me since. It's been almost three years now. Guest guest
I would agree with Fliss. When you're in pain the muscles seem to tense up, so it does make sense to get a massage. I've never had a profesional massage either, but when I'm really having problems, my girlfriend gives me a massage mostly in the mid to lower section of my back and that eases the pain for a little while. Also, if you have problems with gas build-up a massage will help break it up.
