Guest guest
I am on the 75mcg patches. For patches falling off you can get the bioadheasive patch guard? from Jensen. Yet, I use simple gentle paper tape on all for edges. It works for me. I use my shoulder for the area for the patches since I can not reach my back. To clean the area after using the patch I use rubbing alcohol. I was on 50mcg every two days for two years then just recently 75mcg every three. I may have to go to every two. I use percocet 10/325's for break thru pain. Walt > > HI, I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE WAS ON THE FENTANYAL PATCHES AND > HOW THEY WERE WORKING FOR YOU. I AM ON 250MIC EVERY 48 HOURS. Guest guest
Hi , I noticed that you are from St. Louis. I live around Farmington and see a GI at St. Louis University. I'm just curious to know where you go and who your Doc is? I'm not sure what to tell you about the pain. I had some surgery in February and so far things are much better than it used to be. My attacks used to be so severe that I would go to the hospital in my area and get hooked up on IV's of Morphine for the pain and liquids to keep me hydrated. They would last any where from 3 to 10 days. They would keep track of my enzyme levels until they returned to normal and try to ease me back onto solid food. What is your Doc telling about your pancreas? What tests have been done? I sincerely hope you can find some relief and get some answers soon. Guest guest
, I've been using the Duragesic patches for nearly 3 years now, and am presently using the 75 mg. patch every 48 hours. I used to remove the little spots of glue goo with alcohol swabs. Now I spray the area where the patch is going to be applied with Benadryl spray antihisimine first, and let that dry for about 5 minutes. It leaves a slightly tacky surface area to apply the patch to, and keeps the patch firmly in place. After the patch is applied, and I've appled pressure from my palm for 30 seconds (this is in the instructions and is an important step), I apply a Bioclusive film patch over it to keep it secure and water tight. With this application, there is seldom any excess glue goo left on my skin anymore. You can get the Bioclusive film patches FREE from Janseen laboratories, the manufacturer of the patch. Just call their toll free number for customer support, the number is: 1-, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. For breakthrough I use 10 mg. of oxycodone, up to three times a day. This seems to be satisfactory, although I do admit to have had some problems with the BT meds just in the past month. They just aren't working that well and I'm ending up having to take too many. I plan to discuss this with my PM doctor at my appointment this month. I hope this helps. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.Griffeth South Carolina State Rep.
