Guest guest
Maureen, Where do you live? We had the hardest time finding DCCC!! But we finally found it at the Dekalb Farmer's Market in Atlanta, GA thanks to someone posting and letting me know about it (Don't know if you live any where near there because I didn't read your original post and don't know if you listed where you are from) Anyway, we also finally found it at our local Publix grocery store. In my instance, every where I went in Atlanta including the DeKalb Farmer's Market, they had NO idea what I was talking about when I asked for Farmer's Cheese or Dry Curd Cottage Cheese. But seeing the picture online of what it looked like, we were finally able to find it just by looking really hard in the dairy section next to the cottage cheese. If you print out the picture and show it to the workers where you shop, that might help them better know what you are talking about. Also, some grocery stores will special order it if you can tell them exactly what you are looking for. In any case, it's good to have another thing in the refrig, and there may be something to do with this stuff that your son will actually eat! Here's a link to a picture of Friendship brand DCCC, the brand that seems to be most commonly found. Maybe if you asked for Farmer's Cheese, the folks at the grocery might know what you need? http://www.friendshipdairies.com/products/farmerhoop.shtml Good luck!
