Guest guest
Mike, I have never noticed before, but I have all these symptoms now. I was connecting it with my recent surgery. I'm in the middle of a flare now and going to the dr tomorrow. I'm going to ask, won't hurt. My glands in my neck are swollen too. << Does anyone in the group experience a swollen abdomen when they are having a flare. Right now my ear is red and hot, I hurt when I swallow and my rib cage is very painful. I notice that at the same time of a flare i have abdominal discomfort. Is that part of polychondritis? I also experience swollen glands, does anyone else in the group have this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. >>

Guest guest
Not really they are quessing(which we have seen alot of) is the esophagus, his pain it is at the beginnign of his stomach, where the esophagus enters the stomach/polychondritis can effect the esophagus I'm wondering if it can effect only one area such as the bottomof the esophagus/that would explain the pain of course for yers we were told reflux/we put him on a strict diet and everything now i do not adhere to the acid free diet and his pain has not increased hope this helps!
