In Breaking the Vicious Cycle, you'll find the Intro Diet in the Chapter titled:

" Introducing the Diet " . In my edition (the 9th), it's Chapter 8. Not sure if

that is the chapter # for the more recent editions.

Elaine Gottschall outlined the foods that are to be eaten for the first few

days, in a menu type format, a few pages into that chapter. As Kristie says,

there are details about how to adapt the Intro Diet for ASD kids on the

www.pecanbread.com website. The Intro Diet is the best way to start.... in most

cases, only for two days. It really clears the decks for the foods to come.

You will get the best result if you do Intro, but some families do " ease in " to

SCD foods..... sticking with beginning stage foods (peeled and cooked veggies

and fruits, etc.), then go back and do Intro once their child is more used to

accepting the SCD foods, to get a healing boost.

You will probably get some symptoms of die-off, as the gut pathogens croak. We

have a few remedies and strategies for helping with that.
