Guest guest
The Stanford group is great, and I know it is a little bit of a drive, but the Oakland group is great, too. Well worth driving across the bridge for. I've often thought how much fun it would be to have a group of celiacs from the San /Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area get together as a group in our individual homes and just share food, ideas and stories. It would not have to be a big thing, like having to line of speakers, topics, etc. Just to be with one another and talk about how it feels to be a celiac, and then eat, how isolating it can be, and then eat, and share recipes and restaurant stories, and eat some more, preferably something made with chocolate......................................... Guest guest
Stanford is the nearest meeting to the South Bay area, the others being in Oakland and Santa Cruz. However, Stanford mostly does events related to the Celiac Sprue Research Foundation and fundraisers. Anyone who wants to start a support group in San is welcome to announce their meetings in the SF Bay Area Celiac Newsletter (I regularly post them to this list). Anyone interested in starting a group is welcome to contact me for suggestions or details. Pam Newbury Santa Cruz Celiac Support Group -----Original Message----- From: Hersom, A. Guest guest
Hi , A nutritionist friend of mine and I , a masters in natural health, had a support group in Hill for awhile. Then 9/11 hit and it fell apart. Would be happy to start it up again if enough of you want to come to Hill for the meetings.
