Guest guest
READ.....Pray with us all thanks, GRDMB Shana Friday am update Sleeping beauty is still resting and her fevers are still climbing. Dr. Pochettino called me this morning to say that he wants to give Shana a tracheotomy so that the ventilator will access her lungs through her throat. This serves two purposes in that it will allow the removal of the mouth tube, which is now a week old and can become a source of infection, and will be more comfortable for Shana. The Tracheotomy will be put in during a surgical procedure that will take place this afternoon. The main reason for all of this is because Shana is running high fevers (up to 103 last night), which means she will have to remain on assisted breathing for a while longer. The good news is that Shana is still sound asleep and has no idea any of this is going on. I told Dr. Pochettino that many of us are praying for him, his family, and his entire team, and he thank me and stated that he is doing all that he can, which I assured him I already knew. I am taking comfort in Jesus’ words “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You trust in God; trust also in me. In my father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place I am going. said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on you do know him and have seen him” ( 14:1-7, NIV). Just like the doctors gave Shana a 50% chance to live the first night, I think this passage makes it equally clear that we can respond to trouble one of two ways: to either worry and fret, or to “not let your hearts be troubled.” Thankfully, because of all of your prayers and the love of God the father, I’m choosing not to let my heart be troubled. If Shana lives, she will have new lungs and will be able to breathe well. If she dies, she will go to heaven to be with Jesus and all of her relatives and friends who already went to heaven. Either way Shana wins, and that is 100% guaranteed!!! Love, Kurt " Because of His great Love I am not consumed... " Lamentations 3:22 Shana † " Be Still and know that I am God " Psalm 46:
