[CYSTIC-L] Shana Thursday PM update

Dear friends and family,

Shana’s fever is lower, her white blood count is down,

and her kidneys are working better, although still not at 100%. Today

she became physically active enough to tear the pick-line out of her

hand and was trying her hardest to reach her respirator tube to remove

that. Thankfully, she was unsuccessful. She started to wake up

mentally, but not enough to respond to commands. She had a panic attack

and all of her vital signs went crazy. They had to give medication to

calm her down, and she was back out like a light. The doctors stated

that she will not be coming off of the respirator at least for a few

more days since she still needs help breathing. The entire family is

very grateful for all of your prayers and support.

Also, the doctors stated that her chest X-rays are

looking better each day, and they feel that she is headed in the right

direction. Truthfully, the wait is getting harder each day, but I just

keep trying to remind myself that patients is a virtue. Besides, since

God is the creator of time and controls everything, I must conclude that

Shana is healing exactly on schedule!!!
