Guest guest
Hello, My 3 yr old began applesauce yesterday after 2.5 days of intro diet. He also had a lot of homemade mayo with olive oil in it. This morning at 7 am I gave him homemade cow yogurt...1/8 tsp. I have also been giving him hamburger meat yesterday and today which he tested positive (mild) in his alcat test from 1 month ago. He didn't begin the negative behavioral changes (intense aggression, red face, more than irritable, very hyper) until about 1.5 hrs after the applesauce and 6.5 hrs after the yogurt today. Yesterday, same behavior but not as bad. He has had sticky stinky BM's 5 times since 6pm last night up to 9pm today. Listed below are the foods I have introduced a.. Homemade applesauce yesterday and today b.. Homemade mayo with Olive oil (a lot of it) yesterday not today and a little on intro diet with eggs and chicken. c.. Hamburger meat.....tested mild on food sensitivities blood test.... yesterday and today. d.. Homemade yogurt....today only e.. The rest is all intro diet foods which he had no negative reactions to except the die off symptoms which are still going on now. I am trying to differentiate between the behavioral (aggressive) and the BMs. Did the apples cause the BM's or the Olive oil in the mayo? I am confused. Basically, I think he is sensitive to the phenol in the apples behavior wise but would that cause the BMs too. I would like to know about typical initial reactions to the homemade yogurt....would it cause these kind of behavioral symptoms...although the bms and behavior both started yesterday and I didn't give him any yogurt until today I am wondering is it the Casein in the milk that ASD kids react to.....I know that the lactose is bad but I am confused about the whole dairy free diet for ASD kids and why. And why is it ok for goats milk yogurt? My son has reacted badly from liquid cows milk and butter in the past. Does the milk act as an opiate in the system as wheat can thus leading to behavioral changes? I would like to feed him dairy if possible, legal dairy ofcourse. Sorry about such a long post. Thank you for helping us... Hinojosa 3yr old boy, ASD, Began SCD Feb 14, 2007
