Guest guest
You can just Google " salicylate sensitivity " and get some good basic information. Some children are sensitive to these naturally occurring compounds, others are not. Avoidance of salicylates and/or phenols in foods is not part of SCD protocol.... but is something that some families have to incorporate. I would just advise doing a little net searching... and you'll find food lists that give you an idea of which foods are highest. Yes, I think honey is on the high end. But many, many kids tolerate honey just fine. Patti, list moderator Re: Re: When to start Stage 1 What are salicyates.....is it in honey? Guest guest
Hi , Information about salycilates: http://www.feingold.org/ Many parents report that problems with phenols and salycilates get resolved with SCD. I would try to focus on healing the gut with SCD first.
