Guest guest
He said that my results from my ultrasound were normal, as were my Hida Scan - said my liver - I think he said Liver, as I don't have a Gall Bladder? - emptied in 11 minutes which was just fine. He said he was still concerned about my blodd test where one of my Liver enzymes was elevated, so he is refeering me to a Gastro Dr. Who he said will be able to better figure out what I have, and possibly preform an ERCP. The Bentyl he prescribed me does nothing, and though I have pain pills, they do nothing either, since the pain comes on so suddenly and the worst of it only lasts for 30 minutes or so, so by the time the pain pills kick in the worst is over and Im just left feeling sore and nauseated for teh rest of the day. I am starting to feel like I did back when I was first trying to get my Endometriosis properly diagnosed and treated. I went to 7 Dr's before one finally did a Lap which showed I did indeed have Endo. It wa a VERY long road, but I was finally able to get teh Endo under control, and I now have a great Gyn. and an awesome 2 1/2 year old son, because of it. Now I just want to get well enough to be able to have baby #2, but my Gyn says I only have a few years left before I will need to have a Hyst. (I'm 28) Anyway, sorry I'm venting, but as you all are aware, this is a very long and frustrating road.
Guest guest
Freebird, Hopefully you'll get the attention you need from this new GI. I would suggest that you tell him you've done some research on your problems and have concerns about SOD created pancreatitis. An ERCP with manometry to check on the pressure in the sphincter would probably the next step. You need to be aware that this, too can cause pancreatitis, but it's considered the gold standard diagnostic tool in determining SOD and pancreatitis, so many people find it worth it, just to have a confirmed diagnosis. Please keep us up to date on your appointment - and how you feel about the doctor and his recommendations. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth Bluffton, SC South Carolina State Rep.
