Guest guest
Hello, to call you pre-op's ! I don't post much, but I do read all your posts. I had my surgery 7/26/00 so I am a 3 month post op. I am fifty years old, had Adult Onset Type II Diabetes at the time of surgery. Today, I did my 3 month weigh-in and I have lost 42 lbs and 8 inches off my waist. I was 250 lbs, now I'm 208............My waist was 50 in and now its 42 (almost)....Size 24W to size 16W (sometimes a 14-16W). My BMI was a 40 & now it's 33 ( I think). The best thing of all is that I NO LONGER HAVE DIABETES.......my blood sugar is normal and I have no medications for the diabetes anymore. The only time I have an acidy stomach is when I take the vitamins before bedtime and go to sleep right away.....Now I take a vitamin, citrucel and actigall after dinner. I've been eating all foods except milk....I drink the lactose free milk now and I'm fine. If you need a contact, email me and I will reply asap. Thank you Dr. R !!!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hi there! I am in the process of getting contacts. Would you mind telling me how your surgery went? Did you like Dr. R and his staff? Did you have to travel to get there and if so, could you recommend a place? Thanks...It sounds like you are doing wonderfully. I hope to be doing as well when I get my surgery! Louisa in AZ 3 month Update Well everyone, it's been 3 months and it seems like forever.
