I could not agree with you more and even if we dont make it in the show , we

would at least let them know just how big the problem is and we will get a

chance to have a voice out there !!!

OPRAH, wants Families of autistic children from Chicago

I saw this posted on a bulletin and thought I'd pass it along to anyone

interested. Even though, I'm in Orlando, Fl, I went ahead and submitted

my story. You never know what could happen. At least I tried!!!

I think EVERYONE should submit your story to let her know how BIG this

is. I wrote to her 3 years ago and NOTHING, but now they're researching

for a show so please, write her, who knows you maybe a guest in her

show no matter where you're from!

Good Luck, Audrey

I wrote a long story to her, asking her to please not do the typical show of how

autism is hard for parents and on marriages and ABA and GFCF stuff. I asked her

to research SCD and read the GAPS (gut and psychology syndrome) book etc... and

provide her audience with information that could change those parents lives out

there who have just accepted that their child can never improve....anyway after

a great letter, when I submitted it, it told me they were having problems and I

needed to try later. UUGGHH

We need to flood her with SCD info and the gut and brain connection, She is

one person who could change the way the world looks at autism.

Sent today to Oprah:

" FREE THE BUTTERFLIES " -SCD-A DIETARY INTERVENTION FOR AUTISM

A FREE diet used by adults to combat gastric illness is having a remarkable

effect on

autistic children who are following it. The Specific Carbohydrate Diet

restricts but does

not eliminate or limit carbohydrates . It is not low carb or related to weight

loss.

SCD restricts the type of carbs not easily digested, not the quantity.

Decreasing bacterial

overgrowth restores cognitive and behavioral abilities in many ASD children

SCD differs

from the Gluten Free Casein Free Diet and has been presented at many autism

conferences.

Parents report changes in attitude, increases in skills and responsiveness,

often after only

a few weeks. Gluten sensitivity and intolerance to salicylates are symptoms of a

damaged

digestive system which is overrun with intestinal pathogens. It is better to

cure the

underlying cause than to just try to treat the symptoms. Because SCD reaches to

the root

cause of these problems by restoring the health of the digestive system, the

Specific

Carbohydrate Diet is being viewed as an optimal choice for a child with ASD.

As one mother has said, " When you see them emerge, the true child, with a loving

personality, like an iridescent butterfly breaking out of its cocoon, well,

that's why we all

persevere "

We have many archived success stories
