Guest guest
I have a major concern. I have a friend that is approx 2ys post op MGB. She is doing fine and has reported no problems thus far. She has, since surgery, opened her own business and is now looking for a personal insurance policy. As of last Friday, 6 underwriters have said, no way, no how would their company ever insure her. Blue Cross (the company that paid for the MGB) stated that she no longer qualified for any services from them ever again. Alright, here is my problem. I am 34 yrs old and considering surgery. I have a lifetime of medical situations ahead of me. I know that being overweight will contribute to major health problems in the future but even being thin, people face health problems. Does anyone out there have any good news on this topic or does this need to be one of the choices we make for getting healthy? Thanks Donna Owens
Guest guest
Why would you have to tell an insurance company that you've had MGB done? Most employer medical insurance company's don't even ask such as that, do they? Mine don't anyway.
