Hi Patti--There are quite a few nausea medications out there, but I

would sure have your friend check with her doctor since she's

pregnant. She'll want to be very careful with what she takes for

the baby's sake!

Patti,

My pancreatitis started whilst I was pregnant. In hospital they gave

me Phenergen, and at home for nausea, my OB/GYN gave me Reglan.

She must consult her doctor about what medications can affect her

baby and how.

Patti,

I'm behind on my e-mail as usual. I drink ginger peach tea quite a lot. It is

often very helpful with nausea. I even bring the tea to the hospital with me so

I can have it as soon as they let me have clear liquids. I use splenda to

sweeten it since I am a diabetic. The tea I drink is made by the Republic of

Tea. You can get it in decaf or regular. You can also get loose leaf tea or

tea bags. You can order it over the internet or you can usually find it at

and Nobles or Books a Million in their coffee shops. Here's a link for

republic of tea.

I drink the ginger peach tea both hot and cold. I bought a really neat pitcher

that comes with an infuser so it is easy to make iced tea using the loose leaf

tea. It came from the republic of tea, also. Here's the link. It's called an

'iced tea brew pitcher'

I also sometimes use these lollipops that are called preggie pops. They are

made for pregnant women to help with nausea and also to help keep your throat

moistened in labor. They come in different flavors, but I like the ginger best.

They help a lot with nausea. They can be ordered off the internet. They cost

about 45 cents per lollipop with shipping if you order about 80 of them at a

time.

Hope this helps your friend. Nausea is the pits!
