RP Foundation Fundraising

Hi all, I just have a few questions and would like some input.

First off the Foundation is doing wonderful. We are getting out the Brochures and those of us who wrote to family and friends did a great job of raising funds. We have our exercise group ( or non exercise group) sending in donations every 3 months and this is all great. Please continue to send out letters to family and friends. A great holiday present would be to make donation in YOUR name or someone else's to the Foundation.

I am just curious about some fund raising projects. Would anyone be interested in buying cookbooks or other items from certain companies to raise funds? Or would any of you be interested in making our own cookbook and selling it? I know this would have to be after the holidays, but I'm just trying to get an idea if any one would be interested and participate in anything like this.

Do any of you have any other ideas on fundraising? Lu is doing some checking into this and I'm sure she will have more information ( if we could ever find out where she is and HOW she is) .

We also need volunteers who would like to work on a fund raising committee. Pleae don't be shy. LOL I know there are hundreds of ways to get this started, I just don't know anything about it. I'm sure someone out there does.

Kathleen is still going to do the quilt, so don't stop on those quilt squares. For those of you who don't know we are making a quilt in red/white/blue with 12" blocks. Kathleen Loch had offered to put them all together for us and then we will raffle it off. It sounds wonderful. If any of you have any questions, please ask Kathleen. I'm sure this will now be after the holidays... I'm not sure. I will check with her. I know she just moved and has a new job, so I don't know what the time frame is.

Okay, thanks for listening and REMEMBER.. this is YOUR Foundation and YOU have a big voice in it. Let's hear from you.... AND to all that haven't joined yet, PLEASE do.. Every cent helps..

hugs

OKAY CLAUDIA,

I will be the first to raise my hand.

I will help in any way I can.

When I was PTA president we had different fund raisers, then I

headed up the youth groups and family ministries at church and we

did some there.

I just never knew how to say NO. But have no idea how to do one over

this computer but hey I imagine if we put all our heads together we

can come up with something.

Here I go voluntering for something else and I cant even mop my

floor with almost going to the hospital. haha

Look who is trying to help raise money, the goofy one who cant even

remember to join the foundation in the first place. HAHA

I still am trying to get my quilt square together. I first have to

find my super glue, duct tape and stapler. haha

A recipe book sounds like a great idea. The first RP production of

all our great cooks put together in one book. Sounds fantastic to me

Just let me know. But remember I only have room for a little more

stress and thats all. haha

Okay I will be quiet and go sit on my hands before I get into any

trouble.

love and hugs,

,

I would be more than willing to sell cookbooks, that sounds like

fun! I would caution us against doing the production of anything, as

it can get to be very expensive, quickly, unless someone has a

contact at a printer's.

Good ideas!
