Guest guest
Hi to all..I have to be brief as I have had an absolutely AWFUL day today and last night. Sorry for the " indelicate " question I have for you all but I need advice from the experts...and have nowhere else to turn other than my new GI doc that I've only seen once!! BTW, I did put a call into his office but they haven't returned my call yet. Anyway, to the question can someone please tell me why I get the absolute worst, painful, nauseated...the whole gamut of symptoms days when there is bowel action going on? I'm already taking Miralax in an effort to help but as it's helping things stay " soft " it IS NOT helping with the increase in pain and nausea that I get EVERYTIME I need to go well um, number 2. I just get so sick - I have to lie down on the bathroom floor, drenched in sweat feeling like I'm going to start spewing out of both ends and with THE MOST AWFUL rectal (and sorry guys!! now vaginal) pressure I have ever felt except when the baby's head is crowning during childbirth!! I finally had to give myself an enema just to get myself cleaned out so that the awful pressure would stop. Which it did but now has caused my panc to go into spasms. What is the deal with this? I'm taking my enzymes faithfully, not eating foods that I know will hurt me, etc., etc. But about every 2-3 days now when I need to go or feel like my bowels are getting full...I just get SO sick!! I was so sick this morning and most of the day today that I couldn't even get my 8 yr old son off to meet the school bus...I could not even get up off of the couch (where I ended up after trying desperately to get out of bed so that I COULD take him to the bus stop) w/my heating pad clutched to my stomach. Poor little guy, I had to ask him to read the labels on the pain meds on the counter (where there are also meds of my husbands) so that he could bring me my bottles of Percocet and Compazine. I was doubled over in pain, by this time, sobbing....so he never went to school today because of this!! Any advice out there or does anyone else get this? Thanks... Guest guest
, I'm wondering if this might be a separate issue to the Pancreas altogether, because I haven't been having pancreas problems for ages, yet I get episodes where I am feeling so sick that it actually does relieve itself when I have a bowel movement. Also when this happens, it hurts like crazy for me. Now keep in mind that I had most of my large colon removed, and only have 8 inches of it, so my symptoms might be for completely different reasons, but it has never been this way before, only this past year. It isn't all the time, but occasionally every now and then. My stools aren't solid (due to my colon surgery) so it's not constipation pain, but it can rush out and feel like someone's just punched me in the lower abdomen. It does make me utter a cry every now and then. Or perhaps my pancreas isn't as fine as I thought and this might just be a symptom of it..I don't know. I did have surgery in January and lost a bit of muscle, but haven't had any pain from that in a long time. Besides, if it were from that I would think it would hurt all the time. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help to you.
Guest guest
- Hi! I am so sorry you are feeling so awful! ((((BIG HUG)))) Sometimes I feel the way you have been feeling, never really got an explanation for it from a Doctor. I have come to the conclusion that my pancreas gets angry and when it really flares, it hurts so bad, I vomit until I swear there is nothing left. But the days following an attack (especially ones I manage to ride out at home on my own bathroom floor) My digestive system hurts so bad, and I have the same problem you described. This is what I think is going on with me anyway, I think it is the bile going through. I don't want to get gross, but at the other end, I swear I pass straight bile, and it makes me so sick when it works it way through my system. Bile is nasty stuff at either end. Sorry I know that is gross. My pancreas flares and makes my liver dump bile by what seems like a truck load into the digestive system, what doesn't come up, must go through. I may be totally missing the mark...just trying to figure out things myself. I hope you start feeling better really soon. I too have tried to get my sons off to school, only to be so sick I can't get off the bathroom floor. My heart goes out to you. Take care. Hugs, Suzi B.
