Guest guest
I just received an update from Cecelia 's husband. Cecelia ended up having a complete Whipple, with removal of ~ 25 - 30% of her pancreas. The Whipple consists of removal of the head of the pancreas and surrounding pancreatic tissue. The tail and spleen were left intact. She ended up not going to ICU as expected, though she has her fair share of tubes, as most of us remember all too well. She is in Indiana University medical Center room 5748. Her direct phone number is: . Though Cecelia lives in Arizona, she is originally from Indiana, having received her Ph.D. in Education here. Here family has been able to be here, which has been helpful to her husband, as well. For anyone in or around Indianapolis, her husband said she would love to have some of the PAI friends drop by for a visit, if at all possible. LOL, Cecelia, being an elementary school principal, is very social and likes to visit! Tull and I will be going over tomorrow after church, ~ 2pm. Karyn E. , RN, Exec.
