Sara,

What wonderful news. It is almost like you tricked the CF monster. I hope

your sisters pregnancy goes very well and she has a healthy happy baby.

Great News!

A couple of months ago I posted about my siblings not getting

carrier tested and my niece not being tested for cf even though she

has a chronic cough. Well, I kinda freaked out in November when

Zach cultured PA. I called my sister in a panic to have her

daughter tested for cf. My niece is 4 and is always sick. I was

afraid she had PA too and nobody knew it. They had her tested and

she is not even a carrier.

My other sister recently remarried in May and was planning on having

children with her new husband. She got the Ambry test as a carrier

test since Zach has rare mutations. My sister is not even a carrier

and today I found out she is pregnant! It is awesome to know that

for sure my new niece or nephew will not have cf.

I ready to open the champagne!

Sara - mommy of Zach 23 months tomorrow

That is great news! I am glad that they finally did the tests and that they are

not even carriers. It must be a great feeling to know that they finally did the

testing.
