All the roasted chicken at my local market contains MANY illegals.... especially sugars... in their basting and seasoning solutions. Guest guest
Dorothy, I would not buy this. I know that here in Canada they put all kinds of spices all over it...generally illegal ones. Roast chicken is very easy to do yourself. Baste the uncooked chicken in olive oil or mayo, sprinkle with coarse salt and pepper, maybe a little paprika. Put it in a roasting pan with an onion and some carrots. Cook at 425 for 1/2 hour. Then baste the chicken, turn veggies, turn oven down to 375 and roast again for 45 minutes to an hour or until the juices run clear from the leg. We just had this last night and my family loves it. Then I make chicken stock out of the carcass. HTH, charlene Quick question: Are the store bought roast chickens legal? Something tells me no...
