Quick Help Please - Yogurt

I'm in the middle of cooling my goat milk to make my first batch of

yogurt, and I've hit a snag.

The instructions on Pecanbread.com say to add water to the appropriate

maker of the outer container. BUT, I can't find any mark and the

yogurt maker's instructions don't mention adding water. I have a

Salton Yogurt Maker (1 quart) Model #YM-9.

Please help! Do I add water to the outer container, or is it okay not

to with this model?
