Guest guest
Dear , Stop that. Right Now. You're going to be the January Cover Girl. At the very latest the Valentine Sweetheart! If you believe it, it will be. We'll all be reading your post-op posts, loving every little success, every minute milestone. Don't even consider anything else! Plus, just in case you fear you're the last . . . there are 1700 (probably 2000, by now) lining up in this process with Dr. R. You will hardly be the last. In a decade, you'll be one of the old timers, someone that no one can find cause you're too busy with your wonderful new life to even check your email!!!!! Girl. Don't let me hear another thing pessimistic out of your mouth or I'm showing up on your Denver, NC doorstep and knocking some sense into your hard head. GOT THAT? And I'm bringing the Indiana Gal Trudy with em!! (Now you're scared, I know it.) Usually sweeter, PhillyJude
Guest guest
I ain't afraid of yous guys. I'm a tough Jersey girl transplanted to the genteel (and quite lovely) South. Thanks I needed that. I know my time will come soon. I am already looking forward to going to the beach next summer and not being the sunblock for my family. I am curious though what the average wait time is for most people. I have been asked this by people interested and know I am not the norm (or normal for that matter). I tell people that I think 3 months from the time they start researching, deal with insurance, finish packet and get approval. Does that sound about right to you. I may have to drive to Durham for the Trude and Jude show. Maybe I can get a group together from Western NC and we can be your cheering section the day before surgery. Keep us posted. Thanks again. , Denver NC...BMI 60 patiently waiting... > Dear , > > Stop that. Right Now. You're going to be the January Cover Girl. At the > very latest the Valentine Sweetheart! Guest guest
Oh Lara, I am so happy for you. Like everyone else I was worried when you stopped posting for little while. November is just next month WOW. You set your mind to it and where able to achieve a great milestone. You grabbed the golden ring. Good Luck. Keep us posted on your date. I don't know where you live, but if you live near Western NC we are having a support meeting on 10/28. Even from the Greensboro area, it would be about an hour and 1/2 drive. Keep getting better than the day before. , Denver, NC > > How long have you been pre-op's. I have been a pre-op since my > > clinic on 2/19. Guest guest
I'm selling tickets... they are $5.00 each, we'll put it in a kitty and the one that complains the least about surgery gets all the money!!! Attention: Trude & Jude Show tickets on sale $5.00 each..lol, (only joking) I wouldn't want to embarrass the big baby (p.j.) in front of an audience by taking all the money!! I have seen the posts for the group in Gastonia, I have no idea where that is. I am in North Augusta, SC about 5 hours from Durham. I am doing better than ever. Now my problem is my dear husband. A surgery date is a real possiblility now and he all of a sudden got scared. He lost his mother to ovarian cancer about 6 years ago and she died in the hospital. He was crying and telling me he was scared and that he could not go through that much pain again and that he is scared that I will not wake up after the surgery. It broke my heart. I held him and we cried together and I talked to him most of the day. I told him about the statistics of this surgery and now he is better, but he is still scared deep down inside and he does not want to upset me. I told him I was scared too. Anytime you have a MAJOR operation you are scared. I have every bit of faith in Dr. Rutledge and his ability to perform a successful operation and should something come up I am confident about his expertise. I know he will do everything in his power for me. Take care With Love, Lara Akin BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
