Guest guest
, Never apologize for asking questions, it's the only way you can learn, and we are all good at finding answers. We've all learned more here from each other than our doctors would ever tell us. The diet really isn't that difficult. My whole family now eats the same way I do, some may have second helpings sometimes, but otherwise, they do the same as I do because they've all found that they " feel better " . They may snack on more chips and stuff like that that I stay away from, but as far as the daily meals go, they eat the same and no one has suffered in any way. In our Files section is a section entitled " Nutrition " . If you click on that and then go to the folder called " Diet Tips " you'll find an entire page explaining what foods you can use and how to cook them. One thing that many nutritionists recommend is instead of three large meals a day, substitute with four to six mini meals throughout the day, thus not overloading the digestive system with a lot of food at one time. Many of us sort of " graze " all day long, instead of eating a heavy meal. I used to do that before I became diabetic, now I can't. There are SO MANY low fat products available today that adapting to a low fat diet isn't difficult at all. The diet tips sheet tells you how you can use herbs and seasonings to add spice to your meals. As for the chiropractor, I go to one, and I know many others here do, also. Mine is wonderful, he knows exactlly where the nerves are that get inflamed and is always able to get me feeling so much better after each session. I hope this info helps. Post again, anytime, with any question. We're always happy to answer. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. I almost cried at the grocery store because I didn't know what to buy, or how to cook. Is there a place w/ recipes or suggestions? Has anyone visited a chiropractor w/ any success? Guest guest
, I've only been able to eat low fat, but high calorie diet by increasing my carbohydrate intake. That, plus drinking supplements such as Ensure if I'm starting to lose weight. I now eat more pasta than I used to and more sandwiches, etc. However, I try and eat multigrain carbohydrates because they are slower to break down and don't have such a bigger impact on my bloodsugar. As for recipies, I don't have a lot of recipies that I follow, I'm afraid, though I have collected a number from other members and such. I think there is a recipe section on this groups yahoo board, so you might want to check there for some ideas. I'm afraid I'm unable to answer the rest of your questions.
