Dr. Pietz did a very good study on how Vit B6 will control seizures.

I'll post a link and you can read it if you want to. I have been

helping a friend of mine whose daughter is 14 and has grand mal

seizures. Her daughter is now taking 1250 mg of B6 a day and is

seizure free, has been since she started 2 weeks ago. Her daughter

is also not on any seizure medication. Just food for thought. If you

want to read the study, copy and paste on your web browser.

removing gluten? Patty, I sent you a separate email with more

details. It's about the little girl we've discussed recently.

Everyone else, this is about a little girl in a family that I know.

Seizures began about a week ago. Nothing had changed except her

mother noticed that she had eaten much more grains since Lent began.

No other food, environmental, or other changes in her life. She is

five years old. We discussed the possibility of foods, and she

decided to remove gluten. The seizures have increased since then. I

think that it is a sign that they're on to something, but I don't

know for certain since I've never experienced something like that.

I'm hoping that someone else knows about this kind of thing. If so,

please email me personally at

I believe al the B vits are essential for those with seizures. It's not all in

their head;). My dd used to have them too. She has been seizure-free for over 3

yrs. except for once when she had a really high fever with strep throat. Lots of

inflammation there. Jenn L

Thanks. I will pass this on to my friend. Did this girl do any dietary

changes, or just add in the B6?

This 14 year old is GFCFSF sugar free (has been for many many years)

and I'm working with her mother to add SCD. Her mother already had

her on a MV that had B6 just not a very high dose of B6.

Marti,

You'll have to copy and paste the entire link onto your web browser:

http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/pdf/10.1111/j.1528-

1157.1993.tb00458.x?cookieSet=1

Try it again but get both lines of the entire link. Good luck.
