Question about the follow-up clinic

They want you to come to clinic the follow Tuesday after your surgery for a

" check-up " with Dr. R. I advised Barbara that I had to be back in California

the following Monday and could not make it to follow-up clinic. She said as

long as I stayed in NC for 5 days after my surgery it would be okay to miss

the follow-up clinic. I am going to see my PCP that following week and he

will remove my staples.

What happens at the follow-up clinic?

It says on the website that (for example) if surgery is on Wednesday,

you're discharged on Thursday, then you come to a follow-up clinic

the

following Tuesday.

You weigh, you get your staples out, you get to share with all the pre-ops

how your surgical experience went. You are only there about an hour, at

most.
