Guest guest
Hi , I know you probably had your first treatment of Metho by now ... I just wanted to check on how you are doing. If you are only taking 17.5 or 20 mgs of metho, you will probably need some Compazine or other similar drug for your stomach until your body adjusts to the drug. I only took it the first 3 or 4 weeks, then I was ok and didn't need anything else for the naseau. I believe I started on 17.5 mgs too, and then reduced by 2.5 mgs every 8 weeks. If you are feeling fatigued, it will pass too as your body adjusts. I didn't loose any hair, but everyone is different. Please let me know how you are feeling. Guest guest
yes...I'm really concerned that I am so vain. I can't pass a mirror without checking myself out. I'm embarrassed by this, it's seems so shallow. But I guess that it is only because looking so good ( and yes, people do tell me that I look good. beautiful. Stunning, even.) is still new to me, and I have to keep checking to make sure it is true, that pretty woman rflected there is really me. This isn't a dream. Perfhaps when I get used to looking this way, I won't have to keep checking. Or...perhaps I am just vain. Guest guest
wow...Janice... have you been reading my thoughts? Yes, I have caught myself thinking unkind thoughts about fat people and I was completely horrified! I think it is the negative self talk...a habit from my youth, being called a lazy slob. I've never been lazy or a slob, but those two words pop into my head sometimes now when a fat person offends me...cuts me off in traffic or something...But I think there is more to it, like you said, self-lothing. Guest guest
Is it vanity or were we just taught to be completely well groomed? I don't feel dressed w/o earrings. I figure I'm old, may as well present myself as well as possible. But I did when I was heavy, too. Don't look at me today when I did not expect to see " the public " . LOL! Thanks, Vitalady, Inc. Guest guest
Vain? Or just curious? Or fascinated by the change? Some days I do, some days I don't. Every now & then someone on my staff will flip a hem down or something I should've caught if I was doing the last minute once over. Other days, my " thin " intrigues me, like a new toy. Guest guest
I have not changed in that area either. Even when I was 322 pounds I always put on makeup, jewelry and a nice outfit. I think I was taught this from my mother, as she would always say, " your not going out looking like that are you? " LOL Terri in Temecula 12/7/01 322/238/160??? Guest guest
I was the same way pre-WLS. I remember seeing a show once where a woman said " Never go out of the house without your hair done and makeup because you never know who you might run into. " I never forgot that, and to this day, will not leave the house without being all " put together. " in NJ ************************ > I have not changed in that area either.
