Guest guest
Well, I imagine that, under these circumstances, a lot of good flora and healthy biofilm in your gut has now been trashed. I am not certain what all goes on during an appendectomy (although I had an emergency one myself over 30 yrs ago).... but I imagine they sort of " flush out " your entire gut with some sort of antibacterial solution, as well as giving the IV antibiotics. Probably wipes out the whole delicate balance. At any rate, at only ONE WEEK past an apendectomy, I would think you would need to be eating very bland, very easy-to-digest foods anyway..... for a while.... even if you weren't on SCD. Use common sense! I honestly think you need to give your body a break and start slow and easy, with all peeled and cooked...... and remember the tender new tissue that is trying to heal down there. And pump up the SCD yogurt!!! Patti Need more suggestions was: CANDEX Hi Patti, or who ever else, Would you suggest that I go back to intro? I truly did not want to. One week ago, I was given IV antibiotics for peritonitis and appedectomy. I now have yeast issues again. They gave me Diflucon, but I still am having problems. No GI distress. Just Y infecton, and white coated tongue again. I was going to try the Candex again. Thanks, Antoinette (SCD 2/06)
