Guest guest
I went to the store yesterday to by some more salt. The windsor table salt I had been using for the past 2 years was in a new box now. I read the ingredients: salt, calcium silicate, SUGAR, potassium iodine. Oh no! So I bought some preservative free sea salt. Could that be why my daughter has craved so much salt since we started the SCD? It is likely the exact same salt we were using, but I can't say for sure, as I didn't keep the original bag: was it he same.Well, I guess that didn't harm her much...just going to school can be more hazardous. Can I assume the sugar ingredient on the bag means sugar and not dextrose(that Elaine said not to worry about)? Am I the only one who didn't know enough to use sea salt in the first place? Sorry for venting my frustration but I don't want anyone else to use a salt that may not be SCD legal.
