You're right.... but it's just such a vital step to read the book, to

understand the science behind it. It will be a great resource as you continue,

too.... but yes, the website, and this group, are essential parts, too.

book vs. website

The book arrived and I read it. I am confused why there is so much emphasis on

the book -- it seems that there is much more info on the website. Couldn't a

person fail if they only followed the guidelines in BTVC, since it is not

stressed how slowly you should introduce the foods and how small the dose should

be?

for you at this point, I recommend chapters 9 and 10 on introducing the

diet.

The Pecanbread website repeats and attempts to break down and simplify the ASD

interpretation of the diet. Peraonally I really like the recipes in the BTVC

book. They look

deceptively simple but are rich and tasty because the ingredients are so pure.

I have the 10th edition and Chapters 9 and 10 are the heart and soul of valuable

information. Elaine's website is great too for looking up legal and illegal

foods:
