Guest guest
Does having a drink (soda, juice, etc.. ) require a Pancrecarb capsule? I just realized that I hadn't even thought of including drinks? Caden drinks quite a lot so not sure if this is considered a snack or not. Guest guest
I follow the rule that if it has fat or protein you need an enzyme. If you go to the CFParents Homepage and click on files, then research you should find a document called Guidelines for Enzymes. I used this when my son started on enzymes and it was pretty helpful. Guest guest
Soda and Juice contain no fat and very little " nutrition " at all. so an enzyme should not be required. If the drink has fat in it, like milk or a smoothie, then it does require enzymes. I hope this helps! enzymes and drinks with NO snack Does having a drink (soda, juice, etc.. ) require a Pancrecarb capsule? I just realized that I hadn't even thought of including drinks? Guest guest
We have also been told that if the drink/snack has protein in it then it will require enzymes. The amount of enzymes will depend on the amount of fat/protein. Katy Mom to Austin 4 no CF & Piper 19 months w/CF
Guest guest
Hi Krystena, It depends on the drink. If it's pure carb, no fat or protein, it does not. The sodas and most pure juices fall into that category. If it's a smoothie with dairy, soy or anything else that may add fat or proteins, he would need enzymes. Check the nutrition lable if you have any doubts. Hope this helps, C Mommy to Mick and Alli, 4 yo twins wcf --- Krystena s wrote: > > Does having a drink (soda, juice, etc.. ) require a > Pancrecarb capsule? > I just realized that I hadn't even thought of > including drinks? Guest guest
No enzymes are not needed with simple sugars, like those found in Juice etc. He would need enzymes with milk or any of those high cal high protein shakes. That is great he drinks a lot, they are always after my daughter to drink more. love, M enzymes and drinks with NO snack Does having a drink (soda, juice, etc.. ) require a Pancrecarb capsule?
