Guest guest
I wanted to officially welcome Rupesh Parajuli as Representative to the Nepal Chapter, PAI. Rupesh was hospitalized with severe Acute Pancreatitis and was fortunate to eventually be discharged without subsequent long term damage. This disease tremendously impacted his life and joined the PAI for support and information. Hearing the stories told by persons whose lives have been affected by both Acute and Chronic Pancreatitis, Rupesh wanted to do something to help provide support, education, and advocacy to the people in his homeland, Kathmandu, Nepal. Rupesh then contacted the PAI to volunteer. This led to the establishment of the new Nepal Chapter, PAI. Thank you, Rupesh Parajuli. Karyn E. , RN, Exec. Guest guest
Dear Rupesh, We are very fortunate to have you as a representative of the association, and I personally feel that you will be an exemplary example for support, friendship and knowledge for the people in your country, as well as a valuable member for all of the association in general. Your experiences with chronic pancreatitis have been very severe. Your near death experience while hospitalized brought you much humility and thankfulness, which will allow you to help others with pancreatitis with great sincerity and compassion. As you know, it is so important to have someone who understands, because so few people know that much about pancreatitis and new patients often feel very much alone because of this. Having someone else to talk to who understands the illness and has experienced the same symptoms and complaints can mean so very much. I know you will work hard to help these kind of people. If there is ever anything I can do to help you, either with your own personal questions, or any questions pertaining to the representative's role within the association, I will be happy to help you any way I can, to the best of my ability. We're glad to have you with us, and grateful that you are the representative for your country. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina State Rep. SE Regional Rep., PAI http://pancassociation.org/anthology.htm#Heidi Note: All comments or advice are based on personal experience or opinion, and should not be substituted for consultation with a medical professional.
