Guest guest
Ok I got her on the phone and asked her some of the questions. Here are the answers I got. The doc told her: 45 g carbs per meal / 8 units of humalog (sp?) 2-3 units per snack Bedtime (around 7p.m.) 40 units lantus Ok, heres what she ate today. Last night (we start here because she worked over night) 8:00 p.m. she took 40 units of lantus. She went to work at 10 - her blood sugar monitor read " hi " She ate a small salad and took 4 units 9 a.m. she had biscuits & gravy - took 8 units humalog and her blood sugar was 501 1-2 p.m. ate bowl of cereal - took 4 units of humalog 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. she ate pizza - took 6 units of humalog - blood sugar read 430 Says she is drinking lots of water. 6-8 glasses thus far. She uses a One Touch Ultra The doc said the goal is to get it down to 180. Anyway, thats what I got from her. So, I am sure that she is not testing enough. And she is not recording what she is eating. Help!! This is getting very frustrating. Vondie
